Chakwera amepokelewa katika Uwanja wa Ndege wa Kimataifa wa Julius Nyerere na Naibu Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki, Mhe. Dkt. Ngwaru Maghembe.
H.E. Lazarus Chakwera, Former President of the Republic of Malawi and Special Envoy of the Commonwealth Secretary General, H.E. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, arrived in the country on April 8, 2026 evening for an official working visit. Upon arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport, he was received by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Hon. Dr. Ngwaru Maghembe.
